Talking Heads - Don Chipp

The irrepressible Don Chipp pulls no punches in talking to Peter Thompson about his life in politics and his approach to life since being diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease, “If you’re feeling down, take your belt off and look for trouble.”
An unconventional politician, Don left the liberal party and founded the Australian Democrats in 1977. With their famous catch cry of ‘keeping the bastards honest’ the Democrats managed to hold governments from both sides of the house to account.
