Study English Series 1
Designed to help those preparing for the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) test for entry into a College or University where English is the language of tuition, or for employment or immigration purposes.
Each episode is based on video interviews with native speakers of English on topics with relevance to IELTS. The video footage is drawn from science, education and current affairs television programs.
All key skills are addressed, including listening, reading, writing and speaking. The key feature of this series is its authentic English usage. All bite-sized episodes are independent of each other and can be viewed in any order.

In this episode we're going to look at some of the features of formal, written English.

In this episode we'll be looking at language you can use to describe processess, including transition signals.

In this epsiode we'll be listening to numbers and practise saying and spelling them.

In this episode we will talk about places, locations and directions.

In this episode we'll learn about the continuous tense and practice some sentence stress.
Ep 22- Finance Report
In this episode we will listen to a finance report and learn about numerical data.
Ep 23- Octopuses
In this episode we're going to talk about ways to describe appearance, character and behaviour.
Ep 24- Perfect Siesta
In this episode we are going to look at intonation - the meaning behind the tone of your voice. Plus we review the use of the comma.
Ep 25- Copyright
In this episode we will talk abut simple present tense, definitions and technical vocabulary, all the things you need to know and use to write a report.
Ep 26- Urban Archaeology
In this episode we are going to look at classification - how things are sorted into classes or groups. Plus we will practice the pronunciation of final s sounds.
