Stateline - Indigenous Child Abuse

The report of the enquiry into the protection of children from sexual abuse was released on 15 June, sparking a political firestorm. The report highlighted two key factors in abuse - alcohol and failings in the education system. This special three part Stateline compile examines in detail the fallout from the Report, including the reaction to John Howard's decision to take control of all Indigenous communities, the biggest shake up of aboriginal affairs since the advent of land rights.
