George Negus Tonight - Noelene Brown
Back in the '60s, '70s and '80s, Noeline Brown was a real glamour girl - the darling of Australian television audiences as a result of her unique comic talent in series like 'The Naked Vicar', 'Mavis Bramston' and 'Kingswood Country' to name but a few of her colossal hit programs.
Despite her superstardom of the day, Noeline actually had an uneasy relationship with the small screen, and in the mid-'70s she rejected lucrative offers to play clichéd tart-with-a-heart roles, opting instead to pursue her first great thespian love - the stage.
Among the early so-called sea-changers in the late '70s, Noeline and Tony Sattler, her comedy writer husband, moved to the Southern Highlands of NSW where more recently she curiously recast herself as a political candidate.
