Compass - Sacred Architect, The
In the early 20th Century eccentric English priest, John Cyril Hawes, designed and built scores of beautiful churches in the far flung Geraldton diocese in Western Australia.
He is now becoming recognised as a world class architect of sacred buildings, and there is a rediscovery and new appreciation of his work. Hawes life is a fascinating story marked by high achievement and bitter disappointment.
