Compass - Roof Over Their Heads, A
Compass follows the fortunes of three young men diagnosed with a mental illness who are given a new chance in life by getting a roof over their heads.
Around one in five Australians will experience mental illness in their lifetime. Many young people affected can wind up homeless on the streets. Now, a program in Sydney run by Mission Australia is providing long-term housing in inner-city share houses and support for those with a mental illness. Stable accommodation is critical to mental health recovery, and so far the scheme has had a high success rate. Over the course of a year Compass follows the fortunes of three young men who enter the Inner City Housing Project. They let us into their lives and minds, providing a rare and candid insight into the world of those affected by mental illness.
This program is released for non theatrical use within educational, government and business organisations. Additional payments under a Screenrights licence are not required. Please contact us for Exhibition or Streaming Licences.
