Compass - Pregnant Pause
Health Minister Tony Abbott sparked the abortion debate in 2005 when he called Australia’s rate of abortion 'a national tragedy.' A study found that the overwhelming majority of Australians believe the number of abortions is too high. The right to choose can no longer be taken for granted.
In this program Compass goes back to the time before the pill, when abortion was illegal, when the single mother’s benefit was only a dream, when women with an unwanted pregnancy were faced with dire alternatives.
This program is released for non theatrical use within educational, government and business organisations. Additional payments under a Screenrights licence are not required. Please contact us for Exhibition or Streaming Licences.
