An historic milestone for the Anglican Communion took place on on November 4 2006 when Katharine Jefferts Schori, a Bishop from Nevada, become the leader of the Anglican Church in America. Pro-women campaigners were elated. But opponents claim it's a serious a mistake that could split the church.
Here in Australia Anglicans are still locked in a 30-year old debate over women's ministry and in particular women bishops. In this program we examine the tensions and struggles in dioceses from Sydney to Perth for the soul of the Anglican Church.
