Australian Story - Now We are Six (Yael Abraham)
In 2006 ago Yael Abraham was a single woman and a successful lawyer turned real estate agent. But money and a good career left her feeling unfulfilled and empty.
So in her late 40s and with no children of her own, Yael took a radical step and decided to become a foster mother. In a single afternoon she became the sole parent to four troubled children. She later added two more children from the same family. Australian Story has secured rare access in conjunction with the NSW Department of Community Services to show the trials and tribulations of a successful foster parenting arrangement in action. For anyone who's ever wondered what life's like for children in care, here's a program with some of the answers.
This program is released for non theatrical use within educational, government and business organisations. Additional payments under a Screenrights licence are not required. Please contact us for Exhibition or Streaming Licences.
