THAI STREET FOOD offers a glimpse into the vibrant world of Thailand’s streets and markets, following the sweep of time as day slips into night, and the people and food change accordingly. Food is central to many, if not all, aspects of Thai culture and it’s David’s passion to not only demonstrate how to prepare it, but to put the food in context and take the viewer on an unforgettable journey.

In the latest edition of long running series, CHEESE SLICES (Series 6: 6 x 30’ HD plus 2 x 60’ HD specials), Will Studd travels through some of the world’s most beautiful countryside to discover an extraordinary variety of authentic regional cheeses. Filmed on location over the past two years, the series explores the fascinating cheese heritage of countries as diverse as Bhutan, India and Turkey as well as the almost extinct monastery cheeses of France and the rare alpine cheeses of North Eastern Italy. The series also includes a special look at the new artisanal cheeses of Israel and Catalonia, Spain, and a revealing episode on the traditional cultured butter of France.

AUCTION ROOM (10 x 30’) follows the stories behind the sales in some of Australia’s leading auction houses. Each episode follows ordinary and not-so-ordinary people as they put their treasured possessions under the hammer and then captures the charged atmosphere of auction night. Before anything is put up for sale there’s plenty of drama as the experts trace the history, provenance and the all important dollar value of the items. On the big night will the price live up to the owners’ expectations? The vendors are nervous and on edge, the bidders either showy or secretive, and all eyes are on the auctioneers as everyone waits for the hammer to fall.
