Eric Smith: Not Finished YetThe story of three times Archibald prize-winning artist Eric Smith and his quest to mount one final exhibition after twenty years of preparation can be purchased through ABC Library Sales – Programs.

Filmed over a two year period, this documentary traces the artist’s passion, dedication and struggles and intertwines archival footage with present day artwork and interviews with John Olsen, Leonard French, Barry Pearce, Peter Sculthorpe and others.

Exploring Eric’s career from his prize-winning portraits to his religious works to his lost oeuvre of grand abstract canvases, the film is an intimate portrayal of an ageing artist at work.
