NEW SINGLE TO RADIO: Lucy Durack 'Heading In The Right Direction'

Lucy Durack has fast become one of Australia’s leading ladies of screen and stage with a list of major roles to her credit.

Her most recent major roles include Glinda the Good Witch in the original Australian cast of the Broadway smash hit musical “Wicked” and Cherry in the highly anticipated feature film Goddess (due for release 2012), and is now adding recording artist to the already extensive list of achievements; an astounding achievement so early in this young performer’s sky rocketing career.

‘Dream A Little Dream’ is a collection of well known, well loved covers of easy listening classics as well as original songs written by Lucy herself. Her first single, the beautiful rendition of Renée Geyer’s ‘Heading In The Right Direction’ is available digitally now. 

“I have always admired Renee Geyer” says Durack, her voice is so unique and soulful and her delivery has such depth. I’ve really enjoyed drawing on Renee’s passion while finding my own take on this very iconic signature song of a very iconic Australian legend”.

In addition to her debut album release, Lucy is about to embark on a lengthy run of performances as the leading role of “ELLE” in “LEGALLY BLONDE – The Musical” which opens at the Lyric Theatre in Sydney from October 4.

Lucy Durack will release her debut album entitled “Dream A Little Dream” through ABC Music on September 14.
