Faster Higher Stronger Wins Gold

We would like to congratulate BBC Productions Bristol for winning the 'Best Use of Sports Footage' Award at the 2013 FOCAL International Awards, for their excellent series Faster Higher Stronger, Stories of the Olympic Games. The Library Sales team was proud to have licensed footage for the series including shots of Australian swimming legends, Dawn Fraser and Murray Rose, in action in the 1960s. The four-part series which was first broadcast in 2012 to coincide with the London Olympics, looks at 'the stories of extraordinary athletes who have pushed performance to the limit and beyond in the pursuit of gold over more than 100 years of Olympic competition.’ Each episode focuses on a different Olympic event including: Swimming, 1500 metres, Gymnastics, and the 100 metres.
