ABC Music Publishing Scores Two Screen Music Awards Nominations for Lior/Giggle & Hoot

ABC Music Publishing has received two nominations in the 2012 APRA/AGSC Screen Music Awards announced in Sydney (18 October, 2012).

Both nominations are for “Hey Hootabelle”, composed by Lior for ABC Kids TV’s “Giggle & Hoot” and  jointly published by Mushroom Music.

“Hey Hootabelle” has been nominated for Best Music For Children’s Television and for Best Original Song Composed For The Screen.

Manager of ABC Music Publishing, Marianna Annas, congratulated Lior and acknowledged the Giggle & Hoot team: “The nominations are a testimony to the power of a great song specifically composed for the screen.  The phenomenon of Giggle & Hoot is very much associated with the resounding qualities of its wonderful songs. We wish Lior the very best of luck at the forthcoming awards ceremony.”

The 2012 Screen Music Awards will be held in Melbourne on 19 November, 2012.
