ABC Commercial partners with Open Channel for GENERATION NEXT KIDS CONFERENCE

ABC Commercial’s Content Sales department is pleased to announce it will once again be presenting at Open Channel’s GENERATION NEXT KIDS CONFERENCE, with an even bigger team in attendance. The conference will be held at the Docklands Studios in Melbourne on 22nd and 23rd July.

In addition to presenting there, ABC Commercial will be sponsoring a series of round table conversations with emerging program makers. This is the latest move in ABC Commercial Content Sales’ push to support and invest in up-and-coming filmmakers and projects, as well as established practitioners.

Natalie Lawley, Manager Content Sales, together with a team from ABC Commercial, will be attending the conference, and will participate in the distribution panel and round table pitching sessions to engage with attendees, mainly screen and gaming practitioners.

“I’m very excited to be involved in the Open Channel conference and look forward to meeting with, and hearing ideas from, up and coming practitioners in the industry”, Ms Lawley said. “And hopefully we’ll find some great new projects to invest in!”

This 4th conference - part of Open Channels Generation Next brand - explores the tech savvy world of Kids. The conference comes at an important juncture in the kids market, as the climate for digital and gaming content continues to grow and present new opportunities for our emerging practitioners.

Recently ABC Commercial Content Sales has invested heavily in the following projects, with a strong line up of Kids content now being assessed: THE INSECTIBLES (52 x 11’), a new children’s HD/3D animation series with Singapore-based One Animation (Rob the Robot).

THE FLYING WINEMAKER (13 x 30’ HD), a lifestyle series with WD Entertainment Group, following Hong Kong-based master winemaker, Eddie McDougall, as he sets out to discover the best wine being produced across Asia, the industry’s fastest growing market.

THAI STREET FOOD WITH DAVID THOMPSON (13 x 30’ HD) follows David Thompson - guru, chef and Thai food adventurer - on his quest to unlock the secrets of Thai street food.

STONE AGE MYSTERY (1 x 60’ HD) by Electric Pictures, follows the discovery of ancient remains that scientists believe to be a new human species.
