Active memory team winners

Active Memory, the ABC’s online brain training program, has won the Best Website or Online Services – Healthcare & Pharmaceuticals Award at last night’s AIMIA awards. Active Memory also was highly commended in the Best Website or Online Services in the Learning and Education category.

AIMIA and the digital industry celebrated the outstanding achievements and work produced over the past year by over 100 finalists across 30 categories. The recognition of Active Memory places the ABC brand alongside some of the best digital products in the country.

Active Memory is an online subscription brain training program that helps members sharpen memory and concentration. Developed by the ABC in partnership with the Florey Institute of Neuroscience and Mental Health and the University of Melbourne, the site offers a program of brain games that uses a sophisticated algorithm to personalise training at the right level for each user.

Melissa Firth, Head Digital Business Development said
“We are delighted to be awarded for best website in the healthcare category. There is immense interest within the Australian community in the subject of neuroplasticity and brain health, and with Active Memory we’ve pushed the boundaries of digital technology to enable members to experience the benefits of brain training for themselves.”
