Ribbon Of Life: One Man's Reef

Marine biologist Alastair Birtles has made hundreds of dives on the Great Barrier Reef. In this program he takes viewers on a journey of discovery among the magic mountains of coral, exploring the living system of one of the best-known but least understood wonders of the world.
The underwater sequences were filmed and directed by David Parer, who used special microphotography techniques to reveal the minute coral polyps that are the reefs building blocks.

This program is released for non theatrical use within educational, government and business organisations. Additional payments under a Screenrights licence are not required. Please contact us for Exhibition or Streaming Licences.
