Quantum - Sands of Dreamtime
In September 1996 a research team consisting of archaeologist Richard Fullagar, dating expert David Price and geographer Lesley Head, claimed they had good evidence that Aborigines had been living at Jinmium, a rocky outcrop in the Northern Territory, for around 116,000 years - double the accepted age of earliest occupation of Australia.
Over two episodes we investigate the validity of this controversial date and the major implications for understanding how humans first reached this continent.
