Message Stick - Postcards from Pormpuraaw

Message Stick producer Jeremy Geia has travelled to some of the most beautiful places in Australia, but it wasn't till he came to Pormpuraaw that he understood what heaven on earth was. He became a convert to the community, its relaxed way of life and now has close family connections to Pormpuraaw.
In episode two we venture out onto the Edward River for croc spotting and discover how these ferocious reptiles can be farmed to provide local jobs.
In episode three we visit a community organisation called Pormpuraaw Paanth. From its humble beginnings as a women's shelter this group is full of passion and drive. They have some interesting ideas on fundraising for the local footy team - so watch out for the drag show!
In both style and tone Postcards is a travel and adventure series that garners unique insights into the Pormpuraaw community, its lifestyle, characters, traditions and culture. And if you're keen on fishing or croc-spotting like Jeremy Geia, then you're in for a treat, as these programs take you on a real adventure.
