Message Stick - Convincing Ground, The

So much of Australia's coastline is under immense pressure for development, as coastal land skyrockets in value. But much of that same coastline holds great cultural value for both black and white Australians. But who decides what our culture is? And what value do we put on it? And what does this say about our values as Australians?
The coast of Portland is the site of Victoria's earliest white settlement and the massacre of the Kilcarer Gundidj clan in 1834. The site, on the beach of Allestree at Portland Bay, is known as the 'Convincing Ground'.
