Life and Times OF Margaret Whitlam, The

The wife of former Prime Minister Gough Whitlam, Margaret Whitlam recalls the day that the Governor-General John Kerr sacked her husband on 11 November 1975. Interviewed by Maxine McKew, Margaret Whitlam talks about her childhood, career choices and her life married to Gough Whitlam (Prime Minister of Australia 1972–1975). She reflects on the time when she was 'first lady’ and hopes to be remembered as fair-minded.
