George Negus Tonight - Margaret Fulton
Margaret Fulton started out as a secretary at the Australian Gas Light Company but quickly moved on to become a cooking demonstrator. And this lit the flame, as it were, to what was to become a hugely successful gastronomic career.
Her very life itself is part of this country's food history. From tarting up the old 'meat and three veg' standard to bringing exotic new tastes like basil, ginger and lemongrass to the Australian table to take on the likes of tomato sauce.
