Artscape - Artists at Work: Linde Ivimey

This DVD observes the creation of three new artworks from some of Australia's most highly regarded artists. We watch Linde Ivimey sculpt a unique artwork from an eclectic mix of materials including sheep bones, human hair and porcelain teeth, steel and fabric. Ivimey is a remarkable artist who burst onto the Australian art scene in 2003 with a stunning sell-out debut at Melbourne's Heide Museum of Modern Art.
Linde's extraordinary works - sculptures of childlike or animal forms - are beautiful, powerful and confronting. Her work is meticulously created through a long and deeply personal process that draws on skills including cooking, weaving, sewing, welding and sculpting.
